Pleasantville Recycling Rules

Pleasantville has the following rules for the recycling bin near Smokey Row.
Recyclable Materials
- clear, green, and brown glass jars
- newspapers, magazines, and paperback books (hard covers must be removed from hardback books)
- #1, #2, and #5 plastic containers
- tin and aluminum cans
- aluminum foil
- corrugated and non-corrugated cardboard (flattened)
Non-Recyclable
- windows, ceramics, dishes, light bulbs, or mirrors
- motor oil or herbicide containers
- paint or aerosol cans
- styrofoam, bags, film, toys, hose, plastic pipe
- any kinds of wrap
All recyclables must be clean. Glass and plastic must have caps and rings removed and discarded. Tin and aluminum cans must have labels removed. Styrofoam or plastic wrap must be discarded.
